The ACCESSRU consortium provides advices and consultation to European R&D organizations (and their Russian R&D partners) that wish to become “pilot cases” and to collaborate together on medium to long term R&D objectives. The project team will help them to define Joint Action Plans with their Russian partners. Each Joint Action Plan will take the form of a roadmap. It will indicate the research areas where the partners wish to collaborate, the Russian calls for proposals they wish to monitor for joint access, the contact person in each organization, possible proposals for student exchange and other bilateral projects…
We will select at least 15 collaboration cases that show potential permanent characteristics. Selection will be done in collaboration with the Russian S&T relevant stakeholders (eg. members of the EU-Russia Joint S&T Committee, members of Thematic Joint Working Groups…), to be sure that the idea of European S&T partners also have access to Russian funds is accepted not only on paper but in the minds of policy makers as well.
The consortium members will advice and consult at least 7 European R&D organizations to facilitate their access to Russian opportunities, with the help of their Russian partners. The ACCESSRU team will assist them to create first draft” Joint Action Plans, including the access to Russian funding opportunities. The project also provides the EU organizations (with the assistance from their Russian R&D partners) hands-on support for proposal submission and Russian formalities. Thus, the basis for concrete mechanisms allowing access for EU organizations to Russian programmes will be laid down.
The ACCESSRU Project will provide hands-on support (e.g. information, analysis, other assistance) to the EU-Russia Joint S&T Committee and to up to several Thematic Working Groups. The pre-requisite for the project support is the willingness of the Working Group to be supported, the readiness to collaborate and the recommendation of the European Commission.
